A guide to build with precision, safety and control
Structural drawings are the set of graphic documents that define the layout, dimensions, specifications and details of the structural elements of a building. Their purpose is to convey clearly the information needed to build the structure as designed, ensuring a correct interpretation throughout construction. More than technical drawings, they are an essential guide to build with precision, safety and control.

Advantages
Why document in BIM with ?
From the model, not the drawing
Plans, sections and details come from the BIM model: a change updates every view at once.
Consistent sheets
Identical grids, levels and naming across the whole drawing set.
Built to be read on site
Consistent graphic standards, so the site team reads every sheet without ambiguity.
Checked before delivery
Every drawing set goes through document quality control before it leaves.
Model and drawings together
The documentation is delivered with its model, ready for coordination and quantity takeoff.

Frequently asked questions
Does the service include structural design?
No. This service covers only the production of structural graphic documentation and does not include structural analysis, BIM modeling, structural quantity takeoffs or As-Built model updates, unless contracted separately. Structural design is a separate service within the KAMON & CO. portfolio.
What do structural drawings include?
Depending on the scope, they may include plans, sections, elevations, construction details, foundation, column, beam, slab and structural wall drawings, and any other documentation needed to build the structure.
Can the drawings be produced from a BIM model?
Yes. We can generate the graphic documentation from BIM models developed by KAMON & CO. or supplied by the client.
What delivery formats do you offer?
Depending on the scope, we deliver drawings in PDF and, when required, editable DWG files.
How is the service quoted?
The fee is set by the size of the project, the number of drawings, the complexity of the structure, the level of detail required and the scope requested. To quote, send the structural design or model available, the estimated number of sheets, the delivery format and the target timeline.
How long do the drawings take?
The timeline is set by the scale of the project or the date the client needs: we assess the scope and confirm in the quote whether it can be met. We reply to every inquiry in under 24 business hours, and the formal quote takes 1 to 2 business weeks from the moment we receive the complete information.
Do the drawings comply with current codes?
The documentation is developed according to the technical and code criteria applicable to the project, based on the information provided, and we check its consistency with the design. The structural design, its code compliance and its approval remain with the project’s structural engineer of record.
Can you update existing drawings?
Yes. We can review, correct or update structural documentation whenever the project requires it.
Do you work with clients outside Colombia?
Yes. We are a fully remote firm with projects in Colombia and abroad, delivering in PDF, DWG, Revit 2026 or later, or IFC for teams working on other platforms.
Do you sign confidentiality agreements?
Yes. When the project requires it, we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before receiving any information.
