Structural quantity takeoff exact quantities for reliable decisions
At KAMON & CO. we produce structural quantity takeoffs with organized methods and technical criteria that deliver consistent, verifiable results. Our goal is clear, precise information that supports planning, cost control and sound management of the project’s structural resources.
Request a consultationWhat is a structural quantity takeoff?
A precise takeoff gives reliable information for the technical and financial management of the project
A structural quantity takeoff is the technical, organized quantification of a project’s structural elements, providing reliable information for planning, budgeting, material procurement and site control. At KAMON & CO. we produce structural takeoffs with criteria of precision, traceability and consistency, so that every quantity faithfully reflects the project information and supports decision-making at each stage of construction.

Advantages
Why quantify in BIM with ?
Quantities from the model
Concrete, reinforcing steel and steel elements are extracted from the BIM model, not measured by hand.
Verifiable
Every quantity traces back to its element in the model and can be checked one by one.
By level or zone
Schedules organized by element, level or zone, the way budgeting and procurement need them.
Validated before delivery
Results are reviewed and validated before they leave.
Ready for decisions
Information prepared for budgeting, material procurement and site control.

Frequently asked questions
What is a structural quantity takeoff?
It is the technical quantification of a project’s structural elements to obtain precise quantities of materials and components.
What is a structural takeoff used for?
It supports budgeting, purchase planning, resource control and the economic and technical management of the project.
Does the service include a cost estimate?
No. The takeoff provides the quantities needed to prepare a budget, but it does not include cost analysis. Nor does it include structural analysis, structural design or BIM modeling, unless contracted separately.
Can it be done from drawings or BIM models?
Yes. We can produce takeoffs from structural drawings, BIM models or the technical documentation available. When the documentation is inconsistent or incomplete, technical clarifications may be needed before we start.
Which elements can be quantified?
Concrete, reinforcing steel, foundations, columns, beams, slabs, structural walls, stairs and other structural elements, according to the contracted scope.
How accurate is the takeoff?
Accuracy depends on the quality and level of detail of the information provided.
How is the service quoted?
The fee is set by the size of the project, the complexity of the structure, the scope requested and the information available. To quote, send the drawings or model available, the elements to be quantified, the organization required (by element, level or zone) and the target timeline.
How long does the takeoff take?
The timeline is set by the scale of the project or the date the client needs: we assess the scope and confirm in the quote whether it can be met. We reply to every inquiry in under 24 business hours, and the formal quote takes 1 to 2 business weeks from the moment we receive the complete information.
Do you work with clients outside Colombia?
Yes. We are a fully remote firm with projects in Colombia and abroad. Quantity reports are delivered in Excel and PDF, in formats compatible with each client’s workflow.
Do you sign confidentiality agreements?
Yes. When the project requires it, we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before receiving any information.
